About

My name is Davis Michels, aside from being an actor, I have always enjoyed cooking, baking, and the art of creating new and different dishes. When my sister Jo started coming over for dinner on Thursdays, I realized that I enjoy cooking the most when I am cooking not only for myself, but for a good friend. The recipies you will find on here are dishes that I have prepared with the intent to be shared with friends. You will not only find main course dishes, but side dishes, breads, and desserts. My friends tastes and dietary needs fill a variety I never even knew existed; you will find dishes that are sweet, savory, carnivore, vegetarian, vegan, kosher, diabetic, carb consience, protien heavy, and who knows what else!

All I ask is that you look at the recipies listed here as a guide; try them as is, or change it up to make it your own, but always share it with a friend.

I wish I could take all the credit for Dinner For a Friend, however I have always given credit where credit is due. The true inspiration for this came from my friend Phedra when I lived in Baldwin City, KS. She was a stay at home mom, and greatly enjoyed the company of her friends. As an added incentive to see people she would host "Feed a Friend Friday" every week. She would cook up some delicious soups, stews, and meals, and always made enough for everyone who wanted to stop by, have a good meal, and enjoy good company.
